At a standing-room-only event on March 4th, Salisbury Regional Airport’s new manager, Dawn Veatch, spoke for more than an hour to aircraft owners who base their planes at SBY. Mrs. Veatch outlined her immediate and long-term goals for the airport, including her desire to attract new business to the field and to construct new hangars for small, private aircraft and larger, corporate-owned craft. In the near future (the next six months or sooner), pilots and airline passengers will benefit from the following projects:
- new food service within the airline terminal.
- an “aviation day” in the fall which will welcome area families to the airport for a day of fun, tours, food, and aviation-related seminars.
- resurfacing of taxiway B north, which connects the airport’s central area to runway 23.
